Not interested in Melbourne Shuffle at all, but it has a cool little history of the rave scene at about 4:00 minutes onwards.
Damn I wish we still had clubs like that.
Frankly man I think location 2 seems your best bet. Proximity to the authorities would be my main concern before anything else. Further, who is to say the picnickers wouldn't enjoy some music during their picknicking? It could be kind of exciting for them!

I feel ya dude. Used to attend Fridays @ the Family most weeks. Never needed anything else. Place has gone to shit. Would be very interested in the Melb/Canb/Syd club scene now.
